After selecting the Production orders tab in the Manufacturer for Pharma application, you can manage production orders and associate the production order with a packaging line. You can perform the following:

Creating a Production Order


Before You Begin


Make sure that you have created a packaging line.


Procedure


1. In the Manufacturer for Pharma application, open the Production orders tab. The application displays the list of production orders and the Create order form.


Note: When viewing the details of a production order, you can open the Create order form by clicking Add new +.



2. Fill in the form as described below. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) in the form.


FieldDescription
Order numberEnter order number. The allowed character length is 1-50 characters.
DescriptionEnter order description. The allowed character length is up to 300 characters.
AmountGive the number of serials used for production in this order. The maximum allowed value is 100000.
Extra (%)

Provide the extra percentage on top of the amount. This field ensures that there are enough serial numbers in case any errors happen during production. The valid range is 0-100.


For example, if you request 1000 serial numbers and you state "10" as the extra percentage, 100 additional serial numbers will be created.

GTINEnter the Global Trade Item Number of the product. After entering a part of the code or the description, the application displays a searchable drop-down with a prefiltered list of products. You can search for any product registered in the system by entering the GTIN or the description in the search field.

If the Product is aggregated checkbox is selected in the configuration of the product (GTIN), specify the aggregation level structure in the article mapping of the Wipotec-OCS shopfloor channel where you are sending this production order.
BatchEnter the batch.
Expiration dateSelect the expiration date by using the datepicker. If you select the last day of a month as the date, the application displays the Replace Day with 00 checkbox to store the day as '00'.
Packaging lineSelect the packaging line where you want to send the production order.
SerializedBy selecting this checkbox you ensure that a unique serial number is added to each pack while executing the order. Otherwise, you can execute packaging for non-serialized items.


3. Click Create.


The system asks you to confirm that you want to create the production order with the data that you provided. After you confirm, one of the following happens:

  • If the automatic release of orders is activated, the item is added to the Production orders list and the order is released to the packaging line.
  • If the automatic release of orders is deactivated, the item is added to the Production orders list and you need to manually release the order to the packaging line.

Searching for a Production Order and Viewing Its Settings and History


Procedure


1. In the Manufacturer for Pharma application, open the Production orders tab. The application displays the list of production orders.


2. Enter the production order number or its description in the search field and select the status.

  • The list of the orders is filtered based on the search criteria.
  • You can reset the filter by clicking the Reset filters icon.


3. Select the production order to view its settings and history.

  • To view the order settings, click Order settings.
  • To view the actions and status changes of the order with date and time, click Order history.
  • To view a summary of the order, click the > (Expand) icon on the left next to the order number.


In the example below, we are searching for "Order003", and are viewing the Order settings tab. We are also expanding the order to view the summary:



In the example below, we are viewing the Order history tab for the previously selected "Order003". In this example, the production order was released to the packaging line and its status is Done:

Updating a Production Order


Procedure


1. In the Manufacturer for Pharma application, open the Production orders tab. The application displays the list of production orders.


2. Find and select the production order in the list you want to update. 


Note: You can update the orders in Open status only.

3. In the Update order form, modify the allowed fields as needed.


Note: You can update only the amount, the extra percentage, the GTIN, the packaging line, and the serialization setting. The rest of the fields are read-only.


FieldDescription

4. Click Update.

Releasing the Production Order to the Packaging Line


When the automatic release of orders is deactivated, the production order is added to the list and is in Open status. You can release the order to the packaging line manually.


Before You Begin


Make sure that you have prepared the packaging line to execute the production order.


Procedure


1. In the Manufacturer for Pharma application, open the Production orders tab. The application displays the list of production orders.


2. Find the production order in the list you want to release to the packaging line.

3. Under Action column, click Release order and confirm the action. 


The order is executed at the packaging line with the given amount of serial numbers. These serial numbers are now in Assigned status in the serial number pool and they are associated with the order number.

Deleting a Production Order


Procedure


1. In the Manufacturer for Pharma application, open the Production orders tab. The application displays the list of production orders.


2. Find the production order in the list you want to delete.
