After you successfully configured the scanner, you can verify the scanner setup by opening a text editor and scanning a barcode.


Before You Begin


Make sure that you have configured the scanner as described in the applicable connection guide.


Procedure


1. Open a text editor on your desktop device.

2. Scan a test barcode with the table scanner and verify that you can see the data in the text file.


Example (2D Data Matrix):



After scanning the above barcode, you should see the following data in the text file:

<mov>01012345678912341723091510BATCHTEST1234 21SER1ALNUMBER001


Example (GS1-128 linear barcode - SSCC):


After scanning the above barcode, you should see the following data in the text file:

<mov>00123456789012345675

If you cannot see the data, your scanner setup is not correct. Revisit the applicable connection guide and configure the scanner.
