Follow the main steps and workflows outlined here to configure Movilitas.Cloud for your business. The description is not exhaustive and is not meant to be exhaustive. The goal is to help the users to understand how the main components connect to each other and how to configure the Movilitas.Cloud solution.

Configuring Movilitas.Cloud Admin


Procedure


1. Do the customer (tenant) registration in Movilitas.Cloud.


When you register as a customer, you provide details about your company as well as yourself. You will have an account in Movilitas.Cloud where the company you registered is a tenant and you are the administrator of this company. For more information, see the Registration & Login folder.


2. (Optional) Create additional tenants.


You can create additional tenants in the system, for example, you can have separate tenants for the subsidiaries of the company in different countries. For more information, see the Movilitas.Cloud Console folder.


3. Enable the required applications for the tenant. The list of applications you need depends on what processes your company wants to cover with Movilitas.Cloud. For more information, see Enabling Applications for the Tenant.


4. Assign users to the tenant. Invite coworkers to use the system. You can assign the registered mobile users as operators in the applications.

5. If you want to print labels on a Zebra device, connect the Zebra printer to Movilitas.Cloud through WebLink (Cloud Connect). For more information, see Connecting Zebra Printer to Movilitas.Cloud by Using WebLink (Cloud Connect).


6. Considering the applications you want to use, configure the tenant-level parameters:

  • Channels (including public APIs)
  • Repositories
  • API keys and token for API authentication
  • Tenant settings.

7. Configure the applications one by one. For more information, check the articles related to the application in the knowledge base.

Configuring Movilitas Mobile


You can use the Movilitas Mobile application to scan packs, cartons, containers, cases, or pallets on registered mobile devices and scanners. Movilitas Mobile is available in different languages.


To use Movilitas Mobile, you have two options:

  • For mobile devices and handheld scanners, install it on the device.
  • For external table scanners connected to the USB of your device (computer), open it in a web browser on https://mobile.movilitas.cloud/login.


Procedure


1. If you have a mobile device that has a built-in scanner or camera, download and install the Movilitas Mobile application on your mobile device.


If you use an external scanner connected to the USB of your device (desktop use case), ignore installation and use Movilitas Mobile through a web browser. Go to the next step.


Note: If you try to use the application in a web browser while your device is optimized for the installation, the application displays an information message and a download link in the case of Android devices.


2. Configure the scanner.

  • Configure the built-in scanner of your device to use it with Movilitas Mobile installed on your device. However, you can also use the built-in camera of your device to scan (if any) and it does not need a separate configuration.
  • Connect and configure an external scanner to your device to use it with Movilitas Mobile through a web browser.


3. If you don't have a Movilitas.Cloud account yet, register as a user over Movilitas Mobile (installed application or web).

4. Log in to Movilitas Mobile (installed application or web).

5. Select a tenant.

  • You can also create a new tenant.
  • You can also register as a user to a public company if the public registration over mobile is activated for the company.


6. Select an application for the tenant. You are ready to scan.


Note: The administrator of the tenant controls the authorized access and assigns the applications and privileges to you.

Configuring Movilitas Desktop (Repacker FMD Only)


When using the Repacker FMD application, you can use Movilitas Desktop in a web browser with table scanners connected to the USB of your device. This is a legacy solution, limited to the Repacker FMD application to perform certain operations.


You can access Movilitas Desktop by using your Movilitas.Cloud credentials on the following link: https://desktop.movilitas.cloud/login.


Procedure


1. Connect and configure an external scanner to your device to use it with Movilitas Desktop.

2. Log in to Movilitas Desktop.

3. Select a tenant.

  • You can also create a new tenant.
  • You can also register as a user to a public company if the public registration over mobile is activated for the company.


4. Select an application for the tenant. You are ready to scan.


Note: The administrator of the tenant controls the authorized access and assigns the applications and privileges to you.
