This is the "Pick" action in the mobile application that precedes the "Ship" action and is strictly linked to outbound external transfer, that is, when a shipment is created on the fly.
The "Pick' action is like putting items into a shopping cart before the shipping. And like a shopping cart, your session is saved and you can return:
- Without a picklist, your outbound external transfer is an on-demand action, and the session is not saved. You cannot pause and resume.
- With a picklist, your outbound external transfer becomes a resumable session, so you can pause and resume later.
When you apply a picklist for your shipping, you can scan items only in the "Pick" action and scanning is not available in the "Ship" action. In this case, the "Ship" action is a verification step before submitting the action.
So when should you use picklists?
If you create outbound external transfers instead of executing orders in the mobile application and you want to pause and resume your activity.
