As per the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements, the distributors and dispensers must verify the pharmaceutical products for one of the following reasons (contexts):
- Verification for saleable return
- Verification of suspect or illegitimate product
- Verification after exception arises with the product
- Verification of the product status
The DSCSA Product Verification & Tracing application enables the distributors and dispensers to verify the products. Movilitas.Cloud routes the request to the responder by using the built-in Lookup Directory (LD) and Verification Router Service (VRS) mechanism. The solution is fully compliant with the GS1 US DSCSA requirements:
- VRS LD specifications issued by HDA.
- GS1 Lightweight Messaging Standard for DSCSA 1.3.
In addition, the distributors and dispensers can initiate a trace request in the DSCSA Product Verification & Tracing application.
The application has the following capabilities:
Administrator UI
Enables you to configure the application:
- Operators - Verifying packs or initiating a trace request in Movilitas Mobile.
- Requesters - Verifying packs over API.
- Settings - Verifying packs in Movilitas Mobile.
- Requester GLN. Note: Also used for initiating a trace request in Movilitas Mobile.
- Activating verifiable credentials after the assets from digital wallet providers - CARO (Spherity) or XATP (LedgerDomain) - are provided.
- Activating the verification of the responder.
- Scandit license key to use matrix scanning in the mobile application.
Movilitas Mobile for DSCSA Product Verification & Tracing
The mobile application enables the operators to perform the following actions:
- Verifying packs by scanning them. Movilitas.Cloud routes the request to the responder and returns the response.
- Initiating a trace request. Movilitas.Cloud constructs a JSON file based on the given data and the application configuration. The JSON file represents the trace request and the file can be downloaded in the Reports & Analysis application.
Verification DSCSA API
Requesters can send verification requests to Movilitas.Cloud over API. Movilitas.Cloud routes the request to the responder and returns the response.
