In the Serialized Manufacturing application, you - as the manufacturer - can register the sites (plants) where the manufacturing is performed.


If your site must comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive in the EU, you can upload documents about your site.


List of Procedures


Creating a Site


As a manufacturer, you need to register all the sites where the manufacturing is performed.


Procedure


1. In the Serialized Manufacturing application, select Site managementSites tab. The application displays the list of sites and the Create site panel. The Master data tab is automatically selected on the panel.


Note: When viewing the details of a site, you can open the Create site panel by clicking Create.

2. Fill in the form as described below. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) in the form.


FieldDescription
NameEnter the name of the site.
SGLN numberEnter the location number of the site in the SGLN format: <GS1 company prefix>.<location reference>.<extension or "0" when no extension>.


For example, "1234567.00012.0".


This field is required when you want to send data to an external track and trace system, for example, TraceLink.

IDEnter the factory identifier of the site (if any). For example, it can be the location number of the site in the GLN format, "1234567000121".


This field is required when you want to send data to the OMS Cloud (Kazakhstan).

CityEnter the city where the site is located.
StreetEnter the street. The form offers three rows (levels) for the street data.
StateEnter the state.
ZIP codeEnter the postal code.
Select countrySelect the country. Start entering the country name to filter on the countries.


3. Click Save. The site is created and added to the list.

Searching for and Viewing a Site


Procedure


1. In the Serialized Manufacturing application, select Site management --> Sites tab. The application displays the list of sites.


2. Enter the site name in the search field.

  • The list of the sites is filtered based on the search criteria.
  • You can reset the filter by clicking Reset filters.

3. Select the site to view its details on the Update site panel.

  • Master data - Applicable to use cases in general.
  • Documents - Only applicable to use cases about corporate sustainability in the EU. For more information, see Managing the Documents of a Site


The following example illustrates a site that will report serialization activities to TraceLink. The files sent to TraceLink must contain the SGLN data, so the SGLN value is also provided in the master data:

Updating the Master Data of a Site


Procedure


1. In the Serialized Manufacturing application, select Site management --> Sites tab. The application displays the list of sites.


2. Find and select the site in the list you want to update. The application displays the master data of the site on the Update site panel.


3. Stay on the Master data tab and modify the fields as needed.

Managing the Documents of a Site


If your site must comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive in the EU, you need to upload documents about your site. For example, you are a farmer whose site is part of a food supply chain and you need to upload your certificates and reports related to sustainability.


The supported format is PDF.


You can manage all your documents in one common place:

  • You can search a document and view its content.
  • You can upload a new document.
  • You can delete a document.


Procedure


1. In the Serialized Manufacturing application, select Site management --> Sites tab. The application displays the list of sites.


2. Find and select the site in the list. The application displays the master data of the site on the Update site panel.

3. Select the Documents tab on the Update site panel. The application displays the list of uploaded documents.

4. (Optional) Find a document by entering the file name or the document type in the search field.

  • The list of documents is filtered based on the search criteria.
  • You can reset the filter by clicking Reset filters.
  • You can preview the content by clicking on the document.
  • Once a document is opened, you can download the document by clicking Download in the Document Preview window.

5. (Optional) Upload a new document as follows:

  1. Click Upload Document in the top-right corner of the Update site panel.
  2. Enter the document type - for example, "Certificate" or "Report" - and click Select File
  3. Browse for the file on your local computer and open it.

6. (Optional) Delete a document by clicking the delete icon.

Confirm the deletion by clicking Yes in the pop-up.

Deleting a Site


Procedure


1. In the Serialized Manufacturing application, select Site management --> Sites tab. The application displays the list of sites.


2. Find the site in the list you want to delete.

3. Click the delete icon and confirm the deletion by clicking Yes.
