The Prepare process allows you to prepare the order by entering the input material details and labeling those that do not contain the labels.

Note: The procedures described below take the use case when the operator scans the items by using the camera of the mobile device.

  • For mobile devices with built-in scanners, the GUI buttons related to scanning, like Scan Order, may not be displayed and you need to press the physical button on the device to scan.
  • For devices with external (table) scanners, you can point the scanner to the barcode to scan and you can ignore the GUI buttons on the screen related to scanning.

Creating One or More Labels

The Create Label option helps you to create one or more labels per container (SSCC) and per line item of the order. This option is optimal when you have containers (SSCCs) with unevenly distributed quantities on them. You define the required number of SSCCs and the quantity to be put on them on the fly.

Note: You also need to select the Create Label option when you want to resume a previously started bulk creation of labels. For more information on bulk creation, see Creating Labels in Bulk.

Before You Begin

The administrator must do the following:

Creating Labels in Bulk

The Bulk Create Label option helps you to create multiple labels for multiple containers (SSCCs) at the same time per line item of the order by using a single form. This option is optimal when you want SSCCs with evenly distributed quantities on them and you perform calculations before processing the order. You define the required number of containers (SSCCs) and the quantity per container in advance.

However, if there is an update on the order while processing it, for example, an extra quantity is added to the line item, you can still add a new label to cover the remaining quantity.
