List of Procedures

Creating a Warehouse

You can create a warehouse by adding its master data.

Before You Begin

Make sure that you have configured the following:

  • SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (AII) channel
  • Printing template
  • Preprinting template
  • Reprinting template

The SAP AII channel is used for communication with the applicable SAP system, for example, reporting the activity or data validation.

The labels are printed based on the printing templates specified for the warehouse.

Procedure

1. In the Serialized Logistics for Agro application, select the Warehouses tab. The application displays the list of warehouses and the Create warehouse form.

Note: When viewing the details of a warehouse, you can open the Create warehouse form by clicking Add new +.

Example:

2. Fill in the form as described in the table below. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) in the form.

Field/FunctionAction

The warehouse GLN is required when you want to send data to SAP.

Preprinting templateSelect a preprinting template from the drop-down list.

Note: Selecting a preprinting template enables the operators to print simplified SSCC labels in the Serialized Logistics for Agro mobile application. The labels are printed based on the template selected for the warehouse and they contain the SSCC number taken from the SSCC pool.
Reprinting templateSelect a reprinting template from the drop-down list.

Note: Selecting a reprinting template enables the operators to reprint SSCC labels in the Serialized Logistics for Agro mobile application, for example, due to damage. The labels are printed based on the template selected for the warehouse.
Decommission childrenSelect the Decommission children checkbox to decommission all the children of the scanned item in the warehouse.
  • When the checkbox is selected and the operator scans a container for decommissioning, the scanned item and all its children are decommissioned.
  • When the checkbox is cleared and the operator scans a container for decommissioning, only the scanned item is decommissioned.
Add new UUIDAdd one or more devices to the warehouse by providing the universally unique identifiers (UUIDs) of these devices.
  • If UUIDs are added here, the operators can use only the specified devices in the warehouse.
  • If no UUIDs are specified here, the operators can use any device in the warehouse.

You can remove a UUID from the list of assigned UUIDs.

3. Click Create. The warehouse is created and added to the list.
